MARKET DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION (MDE) COMMITTEE UPDATE
A record number of MWIF members attended the Market Development and Education (MDE) Committee meeting held in San Diego, Calif., on November 14.
MDE SUMMARY
The meeting commenced with a Public Relations report from Tim Yankey, Account Executive with Mckie Headstrom Public Relations. Mckie Headstrom has been responsible for the generous amount of publicity MWIF has received in the press this past year.
Tim reviewed some of the significant public relation activities that have taken place since July for the committee. Press releases since the July update included:

In other news, Bridgette Brigham, Marketing Project Manager for MWIF, reported on other activities for the year. On the trade show front, MWIF participated in Networld+Interop in Las Vegas and CTIA Wireless and CDMA Americas Congress in San Diego, where interest in MWIF was high and the booth enjoyed a significant amount of foot traffic.
Bridgette also reported on the numerous conferences at which MWIF was invited to speak. MWIF participated in the following conferences in 2001.

Other key activities accomplished in 2001 were the creation of several collateral pieces for use by MWIF members. They are:
- MWIF Brochure - a full-color marketing piece that outlines MWIF's visions and plans for the future. The brochure is available to members by calling or e-mailing the MWIF offices at ;.
- MWIF Connects - an electronic newsletter designed to keep the MWIF membership and the general public alerted to the recent activities of the Forum.
The MDE Committee closed its meeting with a discussion on the future activities of MWIF, which include the following tradeshows and speaking engagements in 2002.
