The Mobile Wireless Internet Forum's Technical Committee Working Group 9 (Applications - Architecture) is soliciting input for the MWIF Proof of Concept Project. The aim of the MWIF Proof of Concept Project is to determine if there are commercially available products or products under development that can be used to build a network based on the MWIF architecture. CONCEPT PROJECT DETAILS As part of the analysis, MWIF is inviting people who work in the mobile wireless industry to provide information on current and planned products that can meet the functional definition of one or more MWIF network elements as defined in MTR-004. The latest version of MTR-004 can be found under the "Approved MTRs" section of the MWIF website . The information collected will be used as input to a two-step process to determine if commercially available products can be used to build a network based on the MWIF architecture. Step 1 would entail a paper analysis listing both network element functionality and protocols supported. Step 2 would involve performing simulations and/or test-beds as a demonstration of Proof of Concept of the MWIF architecture. The product list and simulation information will be made public and will provide valuable marketplace awareness of your products and their usage in MWIF solutions. If you have a product that may be applicable, please visit our website mwif.org and fill out the form. If you have questions, please e-mail our Working Group 9 Chair, John Waclawsky .
