The Board of Directors (BOD) operates on the authority of the MWIF Bylaws, adopted by the membership. The BOD sets policy and strategic direction for the Forum.

The Technical Committee (TC) operates at the request of the BOD, as outlined in the MWIF Bylaws. The TC have created their own operating procedures, duly approved by the MWIF BOD. Adherence to the TC Operating Procedures is monitored by the TC Chair and AMS. The TC has the authority to create and disband Working Groups (WG's) as required.
The Working Groups (WG's) operate at the request of the TC with the input of the BOD, as outlined in the TC Operating Procedures. WG's can be formed when 3 or more member companies have an interest in a specific work item. WG's must produce charters outlining scope of work and specific goals. WG Charters must be approved by the MWIF BOD.
The Market Development and Education Committee (MDE) operates at the request of the BOD, as outlined in the MWIF Bylaws. The MAE liaisons with the BOD via the Vice President of Marketing on the MWIF BOD. The MAE creates a marketing plan for the Forum, following the direction of the MWIF BOD. Adherence to the marketing plan is monitored by the MAE Chair and AMS.
Mckie Headstrom is the Public Relations firm contracted to work for MWIF by AMS on behalf of the MWIF BOD. Mckie is responsible for press releases, interviews, articles and generally working with MWIF to create a positive image for MWIF. Mckie's work is managed by the MAE Chair, the VP of Marketing on the BOD and AMS.
